Clashes erupted in Pulwama town in south Kashmir after students staged massive protests against the arrests of their schoolmates.
Witnesses said that students of Government Higher Secondary school staged protests to press for the release of their schoolmates allegedly arrested last night.
The students also blocked the traffic in the town, they said.
Later, clashes erupted between the protesters and government forces, triggering chaos in the town.
Shopkeepers downed their shutters and traffic disappeared from the roads.
